A detached cottage with open fire and a bright family kitchen, on an 80 acre working sheep farm in the Snowdonia National Park. In a tranquil setting in the hills (initially approached by a farm road) above the pretty village of Llanbedr, which is within walking distance via foothpaths and woods. A short drive from historic Harlech town with medieval castle and Internationally-renowned St David’s golf course, and the busting promenade resort town of Barmouth – both have stations on the Cambrian Coast Line. Many guests stay in the cottage for the excellent bird watching on the farm (50+ species) and extensive footpaths and mountain walks directly from the door. Excellent sea bathing at nearby beaches (3miles). The cottage was built in 1970 and has a small rockery garden with patio table and chairs and sunny aspect – enjoy alfresco dining to the sound of the nearby Nantcol waterfalls which border the farmland. The cottage has its own private water supply direct from the stream so it is advisable to drink only bottled water.
ACCOMMODATION: Two bedrooms (1) A room with a six foot + wide double bed, (2) a twin-bedded room. An additional camp bed is also available for a fifth person. No cot is provided. Bathroom/w.c., Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and dining area. Steps down to a utility room with washing machine and fridge. Lounge with TV and open fire – initial supply of fuel provided. Storage heaters. Parking for two cars. Use of part of a garage for storage of bikes. The fee includes electricity. Bed linen can be provided by arrangement.
